Criteria to Become MSQH Surveyor
Prospective surveyors are expected to be currently employed in one of the following positions (however titled) in a facility with more than 50 beds (public or private sector) and to have been employed in any one of this position (with the previous three (3) years in a senior management/clinical position):
- Hospital or Medical Director
- Deputy Hospital or Medical Director
- Chief Executive Officer (with medical background)
- Consultants/Senior Clinicians
- Director of Nursing
- Hospital Engineer/Engineer (experience in managing hospital facilities)
- Senior Pharmacist
Prospective surveyors are expected to have:
- 10 – 15 years of working experience;
- Knowledge of: Healthcare System, Contemporary Clinical Practices, Management Strategies and Quality & Safety in Healthcare;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Commitment to the Accreditation Program

INTERNAL SURVEYOR PROGRAMME
ALTERNATE PATHWAY OF BECOMING MSQH SURVEYOR
The Internal Surveyor Programme (ISP) develops MSQH-certified internal surveyors for the MSQH National Accreditation Program. These individuals play a crucial role in driving improvements within their healthcare facility/ hospital, utilizing the current edition of the MSQH standards. The new Annual Internal Audit Report will be introduced as a new programme replacing the current Compliance Report covering all standards and criteria.
Subsequently the ISP will be part of the alternative pathway for selected internal surveyors to become MSQH-certified accreditation surveyors when he/ she fulfills the requirements and criteria decided by the MSQH Accreditation Committee.
